MONGOLIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS HIS CUBAN COUNTERPART

On 1 October 2015, H.E. Mr.Purevsuren, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia met with H.E.Mr. Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cuba, in New York, on the margins of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly.    

During the meeting, the two sides shared views on the long-time friendly relationships between the two countries and exchanged views on the re-opening processes of the US-Cuba relations.

H.E. Mr. Purevsuren Lundeg, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Erlan Abdyldaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, on 1 October during the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two Foreign Ministers emphasized that the high level bilateral visits were significantly important in strengthening close cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on issues of expanding further relations and cooperation at the bilateral, regional and international levels.

Mr. Elbegdorj Tsakhi, President of Mongolia, attended and delivered a statement at the High-Level Forum of Landlocked Developing Countries, which convened on the theme “Linking Landlocked Developing Countries to Global Opportunities” on 28 September, 2015 on the margins of the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Foreign Minister L.Purevsuren attended the 9th Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty held in New York on 29 September 2015, and delivered a speech expressing Mongolia’s position on the issue. Minister emphasized that entering the treaty into force is essential to the global effort towards nuclear disarmament.
