The Permanent Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations, in cooperatiom with the Ministry of Tourism in Syria and the Syrian American Will Association (SAWA) organized a Photo Exhibition entitled "Unreported War on Syria's Tourist Sites" on Monday , 29th of June 2015 at the Curved Wall, Conference Building , 1st Floor, United Nations Head Quarters in New York.
The exhibition shows the damage caused to the Syrian cultural heritage at the hands of the terrorist organizations, as well as Pictures of Syrian archeological sites and monuments before and after the destruction intentionaly inflicted by the terrorists
Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari opend the exhibition and presented a detailed explanation of the systematic acts of vandalism and destruction carried out by the armed terrorist groups against the Syrian historical treasures.
SAWA also provided explanations to the visitors of the exhibition, which runs through Friday, about the value and historical importance of archeological sites in Syria and the damage they undergo.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN representatives of Russia, India, Iran, Pakistan and others attended the exhibition.
