On wednesday, Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, visited the Permanent Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations, and discussed with Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Faysal Mikdad the activities carried out by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid OCHA and international organizations working in humanitarian affairs in Syria, and ways to develop cooperation The existing situation between it and the Syrian government in a way that contributes to meeting the humanitarian needs in all parts of Syria while maintaining respect for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria.

Minister Mikdad  stressed the need to stop politicize the provision of humanitarian aid by some countries that exploit their funding for this aid to achieve political purposes, stressing the need to focus on early recovery projects and support steadfastness.
