Ministerial Meeting of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) concludes in Kampala

The Ministerial Meeting of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) concluded today (18 January) in Kampala, Uganda with the adoption of three key documents: The Outcome Document of the 19th Summit of the NAM, the Kampala Declaration and the Political Declaration of the Ministerial Committee of the NAM on Palestine. The Ministerial Meeting of the NAM was held over two days from 17-18 January 2024 and was preceded by the Senior Officials Meeting of the NAM.

These 3 documents will be submitted to the Heads of State and Government of the NAM for final consideration and adoption at the Summit scheduled to commence tomorrow, 19th January 2023.

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the NAM, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry held bilateral discussions with the Foreign Minister of Seychelles, Sylvestre Radegonde, Foreign Minister of Ghana, Shirley Botchewey, the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya, Musalia Mudavadi and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Vershinin.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who arrived this evening (18 January) in Kampala will address the 19th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of NAM in the afternoon of 19th January 2024.
