H.E. Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne participated in the opening of the General Debate of the 74^th Session of the United Nations General Assembly together with other diplomatic officers of the Mission. The general debate commenced with statements delivered by H.E. Mr. Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the President of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly H.E. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande. This was followed by statements from member states with H.E. Jair Bolsonaro, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil delivering the customary opening statement, followed by H.E. Donald Trump, President of the United States of America.
