NEW YORK – 23 September 2020 – Today H.E. Lana Nusseibeh, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the UN, met with H.E. Gilad Erdan, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN following the signing of the UAE-Israel Peace Accord in Washington, D.C., on 15 September 2020. The meeting was held at the UAE Mission to the UN.

NEW YORK – 24 July 2020 – The UAE called on the UN Security Council to play its part in addressing climate change during an open meeting convened by Germany as this month’s president of the Security Council’s meeting on climate and security. In a written statement, the UAE emphasized that the Security Council must work hand-in-hand with development and humanitarian actors to curtail the likelihood of conflict in climate-vulnerable communities.
NEW YORK – 23 July 2020 - This week, the Permanent Missions of the United Arab Emirates and Canada to the United Nations and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) hosted a high-level virtual panel discussion on advancing women’s access to justice in post-conflict settings.
NEW YORK – 21 July 2020 - On behalf of the Group of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in its capacity as Chair, the UAE urged the international community to salvage the prospects of peace between Palestine and Israel during the UN Security Council quarterly open debate on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question.
