NEW YORK – 22 May 2020 – The UAE emphasized the importance of implementing confidence-building measures and for Member States that have experience in implementing existing cyber norms to share their lessons learned best practices in a UN Security Council meeting on cyber stability, capacity building and conflict prevention.
During an open debate of the UN Security Council on strengthening working methods of the body, the UAE discussed how the functioning of the Security Council can be improved during both the current extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as in its normal proceedings.

New York - 27 April 2020 - During the open debate of the UN Security Council on the fifth anniversary of the Youth, Peace and Security Agenda, the UAE encouraged the Council to invite more young leaders to brief on a regular basis to reflect on individual experiences while pursuing peace and security in their societies. The UAE also urged the international community to explore ways to increase the meaningful and inclusive participation of youth in peacebuilding efforts.
