NEW YORK - The UAE called for stronger, strategic multilateral partnerships to counter terrorist narratives around theworld at the UN High-Level Conference of Heads of Counter-Terrorism Agencies of Member States. H.E. Salem AlZaabi, Head of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee of the UAE and Head of the UAE delegation to the Conference, delivered the statement, underlining the serious challenges posed by cross-border terrorism today.
NEW YORK - The UAE called for a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism in all its forms including those who commit and support terrorism and reiterated its commitment to working with its regional and international partners to confront extremism and terrorism in order to restore stability in the Arab region at the UN General Assembly.
NEW YORK – At the United Nations, the United Arab Emirates renewed its historical commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, through its support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

NEW YORK - Today the United Nations released statistics on the significant progress made in addressing humanitarian need in Yemen because of the contributions of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with over 150 implementing partners.

Lana Nusseibeh, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations in New York, convened a briefing with a number of UN-based correspondents on the military and humanitarian campaign to liberate Hodeida, conducted at the request of the legitimate Government of Yemen by the joint Yemeni Resistance forces with support of the UAE armed forces operating as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support Legitimacy in Yemen.
NEW YORK - The United Nations General Assembly unanimously elected Ms. Hessa Al Ateibi, Third Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN in New York, as Vice-Chair of the Economic and Financial Committee during the 73rd session of the General Assembly.
NEW YORK – At the UN Security Council on Tuesday, the UAE stated that the failure of the Council to respond decisively to conflict around the world has exacted a profound human toll, and called for a re-energized unity of purpose within the Council and renewed action to maintain international peace and security. The UAE echoed Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres’ statement that the most effective way to protect civilians is to prevent conflicts and to end them.
