The UAE lauded the adoption of Security Council resolution 2334 (2016), and the signing of the intra-Palestinian agreement on 12 October 2017 in Cairo as positives steps. Further, the UAE strongly commended the efforts of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the reunification of the Palestinian People and in promoting stability in the region.

NEW YORK - In a statement delivered at the High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons on 28 September, the United Arab Emirates pledged $100,000 in financial support to the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children.

The UAE has announced its intention to make two financial donations to the United Nations; US$15 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, UNRWA, to help in its basic programmes for Palestinian refugees, and another $15 million will be allocated to support UN Women over the next three years.
