‘Suriname voorstander van democratische principes’ benadrukt minister Ramdin
Op de 11e speciale spoedsessie van de United Nations General Assembly, van 28 februari tot en met 02 maart 2022 is gestemd over de veroordeling van Rusland voor de invasie en militaire agressie jegens Oekraïne.
Minister Albert Ramdin van Buitenlandse Zaken, International Business en Internationale Samenwerking (BIBIS) benadrukt
dat Suriname vóór de resolutie gestemd heeft.
ECOSOC Coordination Segment 2022
The coordination segment of the Economic and Social Council was established in June 2021
by the General Assembly, with the objective to support the Councils’ mandates, and its contribution to,
the implementation of the 2030, UN conferences and Summits and the recovery of the COVID-19 pandemic.
UNDP adopted new Country Programme Document 2022-2026 for Suriname
On 4 February 2022, the Executive Board of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) formally presented and adopted the new Country Programme Document (CPD) for Suriname for the period 2022 – 2026.
UNSG's priorities for 2022

The Permanent Representative of Suriname to the United Nations, Ambassador Sunil Sitaldin
welcomes the emphasis placed on an effective multilateral system, international solidarity,
and global unity is necessary to adequately address the many challenges around the world.
These challenges are borderless and cannot be tackled by countries individually.
