UNSG's priorities for 2022
On 21 January 2022, the Secretary-General held a briefing to outline his priorities for 2022.
The Permanent Representative of Suriname to the United Nations, Ambassador Sunil Sitaldin
welcomes the emphasis placed on an effective multilateral system, international solidarity,
and global unity is necessary to adequately address the many challenges around the world.
These challenges are borderless and cannot be tackled by countries individually.
PGA's priorities for the resumed session of the UNGA76
The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Suriname attended the briefing by President of the General Assembly to hear his priorities for the resumed part of the 76th session.
The establishment of the diplomatic relations with the Maldives
On Thursday October 23, 2008, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Suriname to the United Nations H.E. Ambassador Henry Mac Donald and the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Khaleel signed a Joint Communique to establish diplomatic relations.
