Sri Lanka deposited the instrument of acceptance to the Amendment to Article 20, para. 1 of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), today (21 July 2015). Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the UN, Ambassador  Sabrulla Khan handed over the instrument of acceptance to Mr. Andrei Kolomoets  of the UN Treaty Section in a ceremony held at the UN Treaty Section.  Sri Lanka is the 70th country to accept this amendment.
