On the sidelines of the International Expert Conference on the World Heritage Property of the Sacred City of Anuradhapura at UNESCO, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya undertook a series of high-level engagements in the bilateral sphere, during her official visit to France from 31 March to 2 April. The meetings were undertaken with a view to further consolidating the existing multifaceted partnership between Sri Lanka and France across a broad range of sectors.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism, Vijitha Herath successfully concluded his visit to the 8th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC), held from 16 to 17 February 2025 in Muscat, Oman. The conference, organized by the India Foundation in collaboration with the Government of Oman, centered on the theme "Voyages to New Horizons of Maritime Partnership".

In commemoration of the historic adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution declaring 21st December as “World Meditation Day”, the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in New York hosted the first celebratory event of the core group of countries, on 20th December 2024, to mark the global significance of the practice of Meditation.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake returned to the island yesterday(17) after successfully concluding a three-day official visit to India.
