Sri Lanka chocolates and fine teas feature at the United Nations

The Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the UN participated at the popular Le Salon du Chocolat (III) event organized by the Arab Ladies at the UN together with the Permanent Mission of Yemen. The event was held at the United Nations Head Quarters in New York, with all proceeds from the sale of chocolates (through a system of coupons) being donated to support the children of Yemen. Last November, the UN Secretary General called the humanitarian situation in Yemen ‘desperate’.

The APQN is a non-governmental and non-profit network with 208 members from 40 countries and territories aiming to enhance the quality of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region.
