NOTICE OF BIDDING

The Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York will sell one of its official vehicles in the inventory with the following description:

The motor vehicle is located at the Mission’s office at 556 Fifth Avenue, New York City and is being sold, as-is, where-is, and is non-returnable. Minimum bid for the motor vehicle should not be lesser than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).

A bid bond of US$ 500.00 (in Cashier’s or Manager’s Check issued to the Philippine Permanent Mission) is required with the bid. Upon determination of the awardee, the bid bond will be considered as partial payment for the vehicle, and the difference between such payment and the offered bid price shall be paid in the form of cash, cashier’s check or manager’s check of a reputable bank in the City of New York. Full payment shall be made within five (5) working days from the date of the Notice of Award. In case of failure of payment within the prescribed period, the awardee may be penalized through cancellation of the award and forfeiture of the bid bond in favor of the Philippine Permanent Mission. 

For bids not considered, the bid bond will be returned to the bidders seven (7) days after the winning bidder is declared.

The buyer of the vehicle shall pay, in addition to the purchase price, any taxes, custom duties, cost or charges of any kind or nature whatsoever levied in connection with the sale of the vehicle. All expenses incidental to the withdrawal of the vehicle shall be borne by the Awardee.

Bids may be submitted to the Philippine Mission’s Administrative Officer, Ms. Liz Riosa, at 556 Fifth Avenue, New York 10036 by regular mail in a sealed envelope not later than 6:00 pm on Monday, 12 June 2017.
