H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, recently received UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Ms. Dendevnorov Oyunsaikhan and discussed about the actions of the Government of Turkmenistan on rights of children as well as bilateral issues.

Stressing the achievements of the Government of Turkmenistan on building schools and kindergartens equipped with the latest technologies, protecting health of children as well as improving conditions to do sports and physical exercises, Ms. Dendevnorov Oyunsaikhan introduced programmes to be implemented in the country for upcoming years.

President of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated activities of the UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan and outlined the main directions of bilateral cooperation with the organization.

Previously working as an officer at the UNICEF Representative Office in Kosovo in 2001-2003, UNICEF Representative in North Caucasus of the Russian Federation in 2003-2005, and UNICEF Deputy Representative in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2005-2012, Ms. Dendevnorov Oyunsaikhan has been working as UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan since 2012.
