In the framework of the official visit to India by H.E. Mr. L. Purevsuren, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, the fifth meeting of the Mongolia-India Inter-governmental Joint Committee meeting on Cooperation was held on April 28th2016 in New Delhi.

H.E. Mr. L. Purevsuren, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and H.E. Mr. Vijay Kumar Singh, Minister of State for External of India co-chaired the Joint Committee meeting and discussed about the future actions to further broaden and strengthen the friendly relations, comprehensive cooperation of the two countries as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting the general agreement of one billion USD loan of the Government of India to Government of Mongolia was signed by H.E. Mr. G.Ganbold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to India and Mr. David Rasquinha, Deputy managing director of EXIM bank of India.

Their Excellencies the Ministers have exchanged the instruments of ratification and signed on relevant Protocol of the Treaty of transfer of sentenced people which was signed between Government of Mongolia and Government of India in May 2015.
