Uhuru Kenyatta, C.G.H President and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya joined the World Heads of States and Government meeting at the United Nations General Assembly for the United Nations Summit for the Adoption of Post 2015  Development Agenda; Transforming our World, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development.


HOIMA and UNICEF NETI Recruitment Drive Targeting African Nationals

In an effort to increase the application pool of highly talented African nationals, HOIMA is organizing in collaboration with UNICEF New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI) team, a recruitment outreach event targeting talents with leadership potential from the African continent on Thursday, August 20th from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at UNICEF headquarters. Applications will be accepted through e-recruitment until the deadline of 11:59pm (EST) on September 1,  2015.

Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The new development Agenda entitled “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” has been adopted at the United Nations, in New York. This was a three year intergovernmental negotiation process (IGN) which started at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio, Brazil in 2012, followed by the Open Working Group on sustainable development goals which ended with the adoption of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The process was led by the Permanent Representatives of the Missions of the Republic of Kenya, and Ireland to the United Nations.
