CARICOM-Canada Breakfast Meeting

Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean Community and members of the Caucus of Permanent Representatives were invited to a breakfast meeting to discuss CARICOM-Canada relations and issues of common interest, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, on the margins of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly


Japan solar project for Bartica launched

The Ministry of the Presidency (MotP), through the Office of Climate Change, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on July 13, 2017, launched the Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership (J-CCCP) in Bartica, which will see the town benefiting from a 20Kwp grid connected Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system at the 3-Mile Secondary School along with the installation of energy efficient lighting, as well as light-emitting diode (LED) street lighting.
