DJIBOUTI DECLARATION

The Heads of State and Government of the Troop and Police Contributing Countries (T/PCCs) to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) met in Djibouti on 28 February 2016, to discuss the political and security situation in Somalia. A preparatory meeting at Ministerial level of T/PCCs held on 27 February 2016, at the Palais du Peuple in Djibouti, preceded this Summit.

L’Ambassadeur et Représentant Permanent de la Mission Permanente de la République de Djibouti auprès des Nations Unies, S.E.M Mohamed Siad Doualeh, a rendu une  visite de courtoisie au Président de la soixante-dixième session de l’Assemblée Générale des Nations Unies M. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon meets with His Excellency President Ismail Omar Guelleh during his official visit to the region. In addition to discussing peace and security and food security issues affecting Djibouti and the wider Horn of Africa, they stressed the importance of resilience and development, particularly of the agricultural and pastoral communities.
