H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has met Keith Claudius Mitchell, Prime Minister of Grenada, in the UN Headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, to the Prime Minister of Grenada.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and ways of boosting and developing them.

The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments, including the situation in all of Egypt, Syria, Yemen and Iraq, in addition to exchanging views on a number of international issues on the agenda of the UN meeting.

For his part, the Prime Minister of Grenada reciprocated his greetings to His Highness Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen its relations with the U.A.E.. He also invited H.H. Sheikh Abdullah to visit his country in the near future.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah also separately met with Julie Bishop, Foreign Minister of Australia, Molood Jawish Oglu, Turkish Foreign Minister, and Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran's Foreign Minister, who are also participating in the UN General Assembly 69th Session.

During the meetings, the parties discussed bilateral relations with Australia, Turkey and Iran, and touched on developments of the situation in the region, and the latest developments in the Syrian and Iraqi crises.

The meetings also covered the international efforts to combat terrorism in the region, in addition to exchanging views on a number of important issues before the United Nations agendas for this year.
