The Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York welcomed the New York-based diplomatic corps to the second annual photographic exhibition organized in association with the America-Sri Lanka Photographic Art Society of Los Angeles on 29 April 2025. The exhibition titled Beauty of Sri Lanka, showcased over 80 images displaying the natural beauty, wildlife, and rich historical, cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. It was a celebration of the beauty of Sri Lanka’s landscape and wildlife and served as a reminder of the power of visual storytelling.

In commemoration of the historic adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution declaring 21^st December as “World Meditation Day”, the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in New York hosted the first celebratory event of the core group of countries, on 20^th December 2024, to mark the global significance of the practice of Meditation.
