Leaders and ministers of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Central Negotiating Group (CNG) met today in the margins of the UN General Assembly (UNGA73) in New York to discuss the state of preparations leading up to the negotiation of the successor agreement to the Cotonou Partnership Agreement that will end in 2020.
Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime and NDMO, Hon. Inia Seruiratu led Fiji’s delegation to the meeting and was accompanied by Fiji’s Ambassador to Brussels, H.E. Deo Saran.
The leaders discussed key issues that needed a common position in the lead up to negotiations between the countries of the Africa, Caribbean, and Pacific Group of States (ACP) and the European Union (EU).
