JOINT COMMUNIQUE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF

DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE

REPUBLIC OF DJIBOUTI AND THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

 

The Republic of Djibouti and the Republic of Uzbekistan,

Desirous of promoting mutual understanding, and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between two countries,

Based on the principles and objectives of the Charter of the United Nations, International Law and Treaties, in particular with regards to the promotion of international peace and security, equality among States, national sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of other States,

Have decided to establish diplomatic relations, in accordance with the provisions    of    the    Vienna    Convention    on    Diplomatic    Relations of 18 April 1961, with effect from the date of signing of this Joint Communique.

In witness whereof, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto, have signed this Joint Communique.

 

Done at New York on 2nd of May, 2024, in duplicate each in the English and Uzbek languages, both texts being equally authentic.
