On September 6-10, 2018 the city of Shakhrisabz will host the First International Music Forum «Maqom Art».

Maqom is an oral professional oriental classic music genre that has been preserved and developed by composers in the Middle Ages as a sophisticated style of the melody.

The main goal of the event is to widely popularize this genre of classic music art of the East, preserve Maqom Art culture, explore and develop as well as encourage professional Maqom performers throughout the world.

The International Music Forum «Maqom Art» will bring together world famous classic music singers, scientists, artists and specialists from all around the world.
