Tuvalu marked 25 years of membership at the United Nation - H.E. Dr. Tapugao Falefou, Permanent Representative of Tuvalu to the UN, hosted a reception for the Tuvalu Delegation to celebrate this milestone and to farewell the Tuvalu delegation at the conclusion of UNGA80.

The reception recognized:
1) Tuvalu’s 25-year contribution to the work of the United Nations.
2) The dedicated services and tirelessly efforts of our Tuvalu Former Ambassadors who strengthened the mission and paved the way for Tuvalu’s voice on the global stage
3) The leadership of the Prime Minister and delegation during High-Level Week.
4) The responsibility of carrying Tuvalu’s voice forward into the next 25 years.

Tuvalu also expressed gratitude to its partners, friends and allies who have walked alongside the nation throughout these 25 years of membership and who continue to stand with Tuvalu in shaping a more resilient future.
