Tuvalu at the 3rd Climate Mobility Summit | Unlocking Finance for Climate Mobility

Hon. Dr Maina Vakafua Talia, Minister of Home Affairs, Climate Change and Environment, participated in the 3rd Climate Mobility Summit focused on Unlocking Finance for Climate Mobility.

The Summit brought together governments, financial institutions, and development partners to address the urgent financing needs of vulnerable nations facing the realities of climate-induced mobility. Minister Talia highlighted the potential role for special drawing rights in complementing efforts to usher in new, additional, equitable, and accessible money for climate action.

This dialogue reinforced Tuvalu’s call for innovative financing pathways that ensure no vulnerable nation is left behind in the global response to climate displacement.
