PSIDS PRs Farewell Lunch hosted by the PSIDS Chair H.E Mr Tapugao Falefou

Date:
Friday, 05 September 2025

Last week on Friday 5th September, the Pacific family of Permanent Representatives came together in New York to bid farewell to their dear colleague, H.E. Mr. Teburoro Tito, Permanent Representative of Kiribati to the United Nations.

It was a warm and heartfelt gathering, reflecting both the deep respect they hold for Ambassador Tito’s decades of dedicated service and the bonds of friendship that unite the Pacific. His voice has always carried wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the causes of our Blue Pacific Continent.

As PSIDS chair, H.E Mr Tapugao Falefou had the honour of hosting this farewell lunch and witnessing the genuine expressions of gratitude and camaraderie around the table. While they will miss Ambassador Tito’s presence in their daily work here in New York, his legacy of leadership and service will continue to inspire them.

On behalf of the Pacific Small Island Developing States, we extend our sincerest appreciation and warmest wishes to Ambassador Tito as he embarks on the next chapter. Fakafetai lasi, and Ko bati n rab’a.
