At the conclusion of the first session of the BBNJ Preparatory Commission, PSIDS delegates gathered for a team photo following two weeks of sustained and coordinated engagement.

Represented by multiple Pacific nations, PSIDS delivered detailed statements across nearly all agenda items, including finance, capacity-building, governance issues, benefit-sharing, and the clearing house mechanism.

The group’s active presence and technical input underscored its commitment to ensuring that the Agreement's implementation reflects the realities and needs of Small Island Developing States.
