At the 9th Session of the SIDS DOCK Assembly, Tuvalu proudly assumed the role of President, with Prime Minister Hon. Feleti Penitala Teo delivering the opening statement. He called for bold cooperation, innovative energy solutions, and solidarity to build resilience for vulnerable nations.
The Assembly marked a decade of Island Energy for Island Life and launched the Global Ocean Energy Alliance (GLOEA) alongside initiatives like the Nature-based Biorock project, advancing sustainable energy solutions for low-lying states facing rising seas.
As Prime Minister Teo affirmed, “Sustainable energy from the ocean will transform our sector from vulnerability to resilience.”
