On the sidelines of the 45th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, President Elbegdorj attended the session “Global Water Agenda – 2015”. And met with global political and economic leaders and exchanged views on the Strategic Competition in the New Global Context. During the session “The Mining and Metallurgy Policy”, President Elbegdorj answered questions from the journalists.

A Presidential Decree was issued on giving directions to the Government to celebrate nationwide the 70th Anniversary of the Historical Victory of the War of Liberation in 1945.
By the Decree, welcoming the 70th Anniversary the Historical Victory of the War of Liberation, President of Mongolia gives the following directions to the Government / Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg /:
- To introduce and promote the historical importance and value of the Victory.
- To honor the veterans of the War, developing patriotic education for young people.

The Mongolian government resolved to award and recognize the three millionth citizens of Mongolia on January 4, 2014, with awards and benefits valued at more than 950 million MNT.
The National Statistical Office of Mongolia estimates that the three millionth citizens will be born in January 2015.
Provinces and district will each identify one contemporary baby born in their presiding area close to the time the three millionth citizen is born in Ulaanbaatar.
On the last day of 2014, Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg met with business owners and exchanged views on the nation’s economic situation and measures to be taken for advancing the economy.
The Prime Minister thanked the business owners for making great efforts despite the problems in the national economy in 2014, and emphasized the importance of private sector and government collaboration in overcoming difficulties.
