H.E. Mr. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yacoubou, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Niger, at the United Nations Headquarters on 20 September in the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Having briefed on the recent activities of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil stressed the importance of evidence-based research and analyses on real challenges and problems faced by the landlocked developing countries. Furthermore, the Mongolian Minister expressed his hope that Turkmenistan would ratify the Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of an International Think Tank for LLDCs at the earliest convenience. To overthought the challenges facing LLDCs they must unify their efforts based on their own experiences, notified Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
