MONGOLIA WILL STUDY GEORGIAN EXPERIENCE IN NEGOTIATING FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS

H.E. Mr. Munkh-Orgil Tsend, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Mikhiel Janeladge, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, at the United Nations Headquarters on 21 September on the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly and exchanged views on developing and expanding bilateral relations and cooperation.

The two Foreign Ministers discussed ways to promote and expand relations and cooperation between the two countries, including exchanging of high-level visits, developing cooperation in the tourist sector and renewing diplomatic consultations between the two Foreign Ministries. The Mongolian Minister expressed his interest in learning from the Georgian experience of the successful negotiations of free trade agreements with the EU, Russian Federation, China and Turkey. In this regard, the two sides agreed to organize a trip of Mongolian experts to Georgia to study Georgian experience in negotiating free trade agreements.
