H.E. Mr. Tsend Munkh-Orgil, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Sergei Lavrov, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on 22 September, 2016 in New York City within the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly and discussed about some issues of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Stressing the 95th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the parties noted the importance of the Medium-Term Program for the Development of Strategic Partnership between Mongolia and the Russian Federation and emphasized the necessity to sign a detailed action plan of the program.
