H.E. Mr. Tsend Munkh-Orgil, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. Ri Yong-Ho, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on 21 September, 2016 in New York City within the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly and discussed about bilateral issues of the two countries.

Expressing the readiness of the Mongolian side to further develop its traditional and friendly relations with the DPRK, Mr. Tsend Munkh-Orgil confirmed the position of Mongolia to keep the Korean peninsula nuclear weapons-free as well as to settle disputes through dialogue.

The parties changed views on organizing the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental consultative commission on economy, trade, science and technical cooperation between Mongolia and the DPRK in 2017 in Ulaanbaatar.
