H.E. Mr. PurevsurenLundeg,Foreign Minister of Mongolia, had a meeting with Mr. Roberto Benes, the Representative of United Nations Children’s Fund to Mongolia on Monday, 11 April 2016.

During the meeting, Mr. Roberto Benes gave an overview of the new “Country “Programme Document of Cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and UNICEF for the period 2017 – 2021”.H.E. Mr. PurevsurenLundegunderlined the importance of the UNCIEF’s support and assistance to Mongolia, which contributed to the promotion of the children’s rights, basic social services and encouraging child and youth participation. The Minister emphasized that the new Country Programme for 2017-2021, which will beapproved by the UNICEF Executive Board in September 2016, is important inimplementing the Long-Term Sustainable Development Visionof Mongolia.Furthermore, they discussed about the prospect of cooperation in the side-events of ASEM Summit.
