H.E.S.Sukhbold, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN met with Ms.Yoriko Yasukawa, UNFPA Asia-Pacific Regional Director, in New York, on 10 June 2016.
During the meeting, Ms.Yoriko Yasukawa underlined that Mongolia has been example in Asia Pacific region in many aspects of population development and expressed hope that the new Country Programme Document for 2107-2021 will be йбүзэуб йиб implemented successfully as the previous five documents.
Ambassador S.Sukhbold emphasized UNFPA's continued support in protection of rights and health of women and youth in Mongolia and appreciated consistency of priorities in the new document for 2017-2021 on sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth and empowerment of youth and gender equality with global and national development goals.
UNFPA's new Country Programme Document for Mongolia in 2017-2021 will be adopted by UNFPA Executive Board in September 2016.
