AMBASSADOR S.SUKHBOLD MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF LDS CHARITIES

On 13 January, 2016, H.E.Mr. Sukhee Sukhbold, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations received representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS) led by Mr.Ryan John Koch, Director, New York Office.

Since 1985, LDS Charities has provided aid to around 160 countries of the world in the fields of emergency response, food supply, clean water and sanitation, and health  support initiatives including  immunization.

LDS Charities has been active in Mongolia since 1992 and one of its publicly known projects is donation of 250 wheelchairs to disabled people of Mongolia in 2011.  Mr.Ryan John Koch expressed LDS Charities' interest to cooperate and provide assistance in needy areas in Mongolia. 

While appreciating for LDS Charities activities, Ambassador S.Sukhbold briefed about current social and economic conditions of the country and mentioned about a possible risk for dzud in countryside due to this year's harsh winter in Mongolia.
