
The United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, on Wednesday 8th April 2015 visited the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations to offer his sympathies and to affirm his solidarity and that of the United Nations, with the people of Kenya.
In his message the Secretary General conveyed his deepest condolences to all those affected by the horrific attack in Garissa University College and stated that the world was profoundly shaken by the heartbreaking scene of bloodshed and mindless violence targeting innocent young people at a place of learning.
He stated that the United Nations stood in solidarity with the families of the victims and the people of Kenya at the time of national mourning.
Permanent Representatives, diplomats, staff members of the United Nations and Kenyans in the diaspora also visited the Mission and signed the condolences book.
