The State Department for Diaspora Affairs is scheduled to host a Diaspora Investment Conference from 13-15 December 2023 themed Tujenge Kenya: Bridging Borders, Building Futures. The conference will provide an opportunity to showcase to the Kenyan Diaspora available investment opportunities in various sectors of the economy. It will further convene high-level discussions on the legal and regulatory framework for diaspora investments and facilitate networking and collaboration between members of the diaspora, national and county Governments and local businesses to encourage partnerships that can drive sustainable economic growth and development. Additionally, the Conference will highlight success stories by Diaspora who have invested in the country, which wil serve as na incentive ot other potential investors from the Diaspora.

The Conference will be held in recognition of the crucial role played by the Diaspora in the advancement of Kenya's economic development. It will be animated by the mandate of hte State Department: harnessing diaspora savings, facilitating FDI and technology transfer; mainstreaming the Kenyan Diaspora into the national development process; and creating incentive framework for remittances.
