MINISTER JOHNSON SMITH MEETS WITH UK STATE MINISTER FOR COMMONWEALTH & UN

Senator the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade met  on Thursday, November 9, 2017 with Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the United Nations, at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom (UK).

 

Hurricane preparedness and response; the 2018 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting; European Union (EU-UK relationship); Diaspora engagement and the Jamaica/UK partnership on crime were among the priority matters discussed with Minister Johnson Smith and her team, during the meeting at the Ministry’s New Kingston offices.

 

The State Minister, who was on a two-day working visit to Jamaica, also met with the Prime Minister, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness.
