H.E. Mr. Odo Tevi
Ambassador Odo Tevi was appointed Permanent Representative of the Republic of Vanuatu to the United Nations in 2014. Since then, Ambassador Tevi chaired amongst others, the Special Committee on the UN Charter & Strengthening the Organization, the UN Asia Pacific Group and was elected Vice-President of the UN Pledging Conference for Development Activities. He also engaged in the intergovernmental negotiation body on the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda.
Ambassador Tevi holds a Bachelor of Economics with distinction from the University of Papua New Guinea, as well as a MSc in Economics from the University of Sussex. After working for the Government of Vanuatu for 6 years, he became Governor of the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu.
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Vanuatu to the United Nations in New York, Mr. Tevi worked as an international consultant on several projects including for the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, AUSAID and the Pacific Institute of Public Policy.
