Within the framework of presidency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States, the 28th meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Heads of Legal Services of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the CIS Member States took place on June 3, 2020 via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
The meeting was attended by members of the Advisory Committee from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
The parties agreed on certain provisions of the draft guidelines for development of draft international treaties concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, issues of activities of the working group on development of a Convention on the legal status of delegations sent to CIS Member States, exchanged views on the issues of the agenda of the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly and topics under consideration by the UN International Law Commission, as well as on legal aspects of termination of international treaties, including unilateral withdrawal of states from them.
