Samoa Appointed a member of the Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) High-Level Panel of Experts

Samoa has been appointed by the President of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Abdulla Shahid, as one of the 12 members of the High-Level Panel on the MVI.

The Panel is tasked with finalising work on the MVI by December 2022. The Panel will be co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, H.E. Mr Gaston Browne, and the former Prime Minister of Norway, H.E. Ms Erna Solberg. Other members of the Panel were drawn from the Private sector, civil societies and acadamia.

Samoa's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, H.E. Fatumanava-o-Upolu III Dr Pa'olelei Luteru is the sole representative from the Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSDIS).
