The United Nations 76th President of the General Assembly has launched a Campaign entitled “New Year’s Resolution for Vaccine Equity sending to the world a clear message of our commitment and partnership on the importance of vaccine equity.

The only hope for a sustainable and swift recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is to ensure equitable access to vaccines for everyone, everywhere. The Presdient stated in a letter to Permanent Representatives of the United Nations in NY, "We must join hands and resolve to work together. Let us be redouble our efforts during 2022 to ensure vaccine equity in the world, for no one is safe until everyone is safe".

H.E. Ambassador Fatumanava-o-Upolu III Dr. Pa'olelei Luteru, Permanent Representative of Samoa to the United Nations has answered the call and shown support for the campaign.
