A New Approach to Coordinate the UN Work on Counter-Terrorism

On Tuesday 16 April 2019, the United Nations launched a new system to coordinate the counter-terrorism work. The Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact Committee approved the terms of reference and initial work plans of the eight new inter-agency working groups that will operationalize, under the Compact’s umbrella, enhanced coordination and coherence of UN counter-terrorism efforts with a view to achieve concrete impact on the ground.
