Ambassador Michael Ten-Pow addresses the 7th Annual Caribbean Ministry Moving for Missions Day Celebration
Permanent Representative of Guyana to the United Nations, Ambassador Michael Ten-Pow, was invited to deliver the keynote address at the 7th Annual Celebration by the Wallace Temple AME Zion Church of its Missions Ministry in the Caribbean and Africa. Ambassador Ten-Pow complimented the Mission on the work it was doing on behalf of disadvantaged populations in the countries of its Ministry, including Guyana. He encouraged them to partner with other organizations to multiply the impact of their contribution and to always seek projects that have the greatest sustainable impact on the largest number of people. He said that while Guyana’s future was bright, there was still need to reach out to those left behind and organizations such as the Missions Ministry of the AME Zion Church had an important role to play in those efforts.
The event was attended by officials of the City Council of Bayonne, New Jersey, and by the President of the Global Missions Ministry of the AME Zion Church worldwide. The Rev. Dr. Dorothy Patterson officiated at the well attended event.
