Davide Jr., Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations, reiterates the country's commitment to support UN peacekeeping operations in his statement before the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations which opened its 2008 Substantive Session on Monday, 10 March 2008, at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Philippines, which is among the 30 top contributors to UN operations, is expected to deploy additional military and police personnel for peacekeeping duties abroad.
