Jamal Al Musharakh
Jamal Jama Al Musharakh is the Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Arab Emirates Mission to the United Nations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a Concentration in International Relations from the American University of Sharjah, and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs with distinction from Zayed University. In addition, he has had extensive diplomatic and international law training at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, American University Washington D.C., and New York University.
He has been a member of the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations since June 2013. In addition to being the Deputy Permanent Representative, he oversees political and security matters at the mission.
Mr. Al Musharakh joined the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 2009. He began his career in the European Affairs Department, later joining the newly established UAE Special Envoy’s Office for Afghanistan and Pakistan as Assistant to the UAE Special Envoy, and participated in the preparation of the Bonn II Conference on Afghanistan in 2011, as well as the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan. Prior to his current posting, he worked in the Office of the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. He currently holds the rank of Counsellor.
