UAE Ambassador to United Nations outlines five-step humanitarian surge plan for Hodeida

NEW YORK – H.E. Lana Nusseibeh, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations in New York, convened a briefing with a number of UN-based correspondents on the military and humanitarian campaign to liberate Hodeida, conducted at the request of the legitimate Government of Yemen by the joint Yemeni Resistance forces with support of the UAE armed forces operating as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to support Legitimacy in Yemen.

NEW YORK – At the UN Security Council on Tuesday, the UAE stated that the failure of the Council to respond decisively to conflict around the world has exacted a profound human toll, and called for a re-energized unity of purpose within the Council and renewed action to maintain international peace and security. The UAE echoed Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres’ statement that the most effective way to protect civilians is to prevent conflicts and to end them.

UAE condemns growing disrespect for international law around the world, highlighting plight of Palestinians in Gaza

NEW YORK - In a strong statement to the UN Security Council, the UAE expressed concern with growing disrespect for international law around the world, and particularly in the Middle East, at an Open Debate on upholding international law and the maintenance of international peace and security. The debate was hosted by Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland, which holds the presidency of the Security Council for May.
