The Tuvalu Deputy Permanent Representative Mr Taniela Kepa Siose and Mr. Fini Iuni represented Tuvalu at the Ad Hoc Committee meeting on the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, held from 26–30 January 2026 in Vienna, Austria. The session focused on the preparation of the draft rules of procedure for the Conference of the States Parties to the Convention, with discussions addressing key issues including participation, representation, and meeting arrangements.
Tuvalu’s participation in the meeting provided an important opportunity to better understand the governance framework of the Convention and to support informed national consideration on Tuvalu’s engagement with the Convention. Tuvalu remains committed to strengthening international cooperation and engagement on cybersecurity and digital development, in line with national and regional priorities.
