Tuvalu at the India–Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) 2026
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Labour and Trade represented Tuvalu at FIPIC 2026, reaffirming Tuvalu’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with India and the Pacific family.
In his intervention, the Minister highlighted how climate change and remote isolation shape Tuvalu’s development, infrastructure, connectivity and economic opportunities, while welcoming India’s continued partnership in health, digital connectivity, resilient agriculture, disaster response, human capital, scholarships and renewable energy.
He also emphasized the need for accessible, flexible and responsive climate and development financing, and partnerships that respect Pacific agency, strengthen resilience and security, and deliver practical solutions for our people.
“Our small voice in the community of nations speaks to a truth the whole world must reckon with.”
Tuvalu looks forward to deepening cooperation with India towards a resilient, connected and sustainable Blue Pacific.
Fakafetai lasi, India, for your continued partnership and solidarity.
